A good week

It's been a good week.

I think I am the only person left not to have seen pictures of Prince Harry in the niff. But saying that have you noticed the uncanny resemblance to the Bevis cartoon character?

Whilst I am on the subject, Butthead has an uncanny  resemblance to the Princess Royal and that futuristic hairstyle that's almost like a throwback to the DA of my formative years.

Are they related - I think we should be told!

He was once described as a old hand at taking visitors out for a airboat tour into the Florida Everglades. He had many years of experience conducting the wildlife trips. But the description does not fit any more. Now that Boat captain Wallace Weatherholt has been arrested by Florida Fish and Wildlife officers. Charged with a misdemeanour's of unlawful feeding an alligator while leading an airboat tour. 

He was at work in the Everglades with a family from Indiana. Weatherholt allegedly demonstrated to the family the ferocity of alligators by holding a fish in his hand over the side of the boat. He faces a fine of up to $500, and up to 60 days in jail after a nine foot long alligator jumped up and grabbed the fish along with Weatherholt's hand, which was severed at the wrist.

Do you know this man?

Police are looking for a man who killed a dog by deliberately riding at it on a stolen motocross bike in Aldershot, Hampshire.

The dog owner, who did not want to be named, was out walking their German Shepherd Zena on heathland in Aldershot on the 16th of August, when the incident happened. A man riding a stolen KTM EXC off-road motorcycle sped towards the dog Zena, hitting her and throwing her 25ft. Zena suffered multiple injuries as a result of the crash and died of a heart-attack minutes later.

The dog owner from Farnham, Surrey, managed to take a photo of the motorcycle and rider after the incident and noted down the number plate. Police contacted the bike's owner but the motorcycle had been stolen.

The dog's owner said: "I have gone over it in my mind. I know he could see us, he even stopped as though he was trying to intimidate me and then he rode at full speed in our direction. "There was plenty of space for him to swerve or slow down if he wanted - it was no accident. I cannot even imagine what would cause anyone to behave in such a way and I am stunned. I have lost my companion and my friend, she was such a lovely dog."

The flat earth society has been dismissed out of hand for many years since we found out that you can't sail over the edge. (Don't tell CART) Religion in all of it's various flavours has also suffered a few setbacks. Fluctuating numbers of promised virgins for suicide bomber martyrs. However, more recently the whole subject of same sex marriage has had the followers howling in the isles. But for those with a leaning towards Christianity there is some good news.

Castleford.

A dark morning with heavy overcast did not bode well. However by lunch time the sun had broken through and we went for a walk into Castleford. First port of call was the T-Mobile shop where we purchased a new dongle. I asked if any of the available dongles had an external antenna socket fitted. The learned answer was no. However, on getting back to the boat and reading the dongle information sheet. I note that the Huawei E3131 dongle does have an external antenna connection fitted to it.
