The Big One (26-1)

Long Sandal to Doncaster

It was as predicted on the weather forecast, a cold night. This necessitated that the fire had to be kept in, just to keep the boat snug and warm. This morning there was a very heavy dew on the grass and we must have come very close to the first of the winter frosts.

We were joined yesterday on the visitor moorings by Nb Abigale Jenna. Poppy and their dog had a wonderful time chasing each other around. Playing tug-o-war with their toys and generally having a good time.

The trip up to Doncaster was quite uneventful. A few dead animals spotted floating in the canal. Including ones as big as a sheep and a few as small as a squirrel.  The canal was also full of floating logs which I suppose are left over detritus from the recent floods.

We met a nice couple called Miles and Joy plus their dog on WB New Romney Rose when we were moored up  at Long Sandal. Today we bumped into them again on the Doncaster town moorings.

The Memsahib has been out on the town in Selby to mark the 40th birthday of Victoria who had a plum secret party lined up. A good time was had by all. The Memsahib is also about to become an aunt again tomorrow if all goes to plan.

I have created a poll that will run between now and the 1st of January 2013. It's not very scientific. Its a simple question "Will CART Succeed". You have three choices Yes, Unsure and No. Now you can vote for one of the three choices. If you change your mind before the poll closing date. You can come back and change your vote. (I wish we could do that for politicians) You will find the poll option on the right hand side just below the members pictures.
