The Big One (20-2)

Friday 24th August 2012

Skipton.

The weather overnight improved to occasional showers. Yet Skipton has a steady stream of visitors. The Fred Truman memorial seems to be the place to have your picture taken. The short canal cruises seem to be very popular as well.

We had another walk around Skipton town centre and the change from Skipton by night is very noticeable. We purchased new colour coordinated matching dog beds for the pooches. This is the second year that new beds have been purchased in Skipton.

We have needed some new door catches for the back outer doors for some time. I found a small hardware shop in the town centre that turned out to be an Aladdin's cave of such items. I purchased two brass hook and eyes so that's my next job identified. Just need the rain to stop long enough!

We also purchased two packs of a special cleaner called "Revive". It was being offered at one of those market place selling pitches. However, having seen the pitch before and also knowing how well the stuff works. It was no hard sell for us. How good is it? If you have brass work that has not been polished for a long time, then "Revive" makes for a much easier job.

Looks like the rain in Skipton keeps the late night revellers away! I knew we would find a good reason for the rain!
