Long Sandal to Greyfriars Mooring
A warm evening and a clear sky. Early morning mist patches were burnt off by bright sunshine. The cloud built but clearing with bright spells developing, but then generally turning rather cloudy again with the threat of light rain or drizzle.
Morning: A bit of tidying round and filling of the water tank before we set off for Doncaster. An uneventful passage with no other boats seen. Quite a bit of activity on the site of the canal breach.
Afternoon: Shopping and watching the weather as I want to do a bit of preparation work on the boat roof, ready for repainting.
Evening: The evening was warm and the breeze seemed to keep the insects at bay. So we enjoyed a few beers on the boardwalk.
Wildlife: A pair of Kites were seen doing slow lazy circles as they drifted south over the boat as they searched for thermals and started their long journey south.
