Gas Street Basin (Shepcote Street Bridge)
The English are supposed to be fixated with the weather. I'm not so sure that its true. We take a bit more than a passing interest - but I don't think we a fixated.
But I digress.
The weather today was very changeable, it started to pour down, then it went from light to heavy showers. The rain changed from a heavy downpour to drizzle. Then it started to come down in sheets. When it began to rain cats and dogs. What else could I do but take the dogs for a walk. I expected to be wet through but not to be wet to the skin. I did not expect to get back to the boat and find myself saturated and wringing wet.
We did not get a stormy, thunderous gush, nor did we have a splash or a pour. Neither did we have a teem, a stream or a spout. No spit, spat, tip down or sop. On a day when the rain plays a game of "chase the drops" down your window. Whilst creating a miriad of circles on the waters surface. When the pitter patter turns to a hiss. It was still the best watery, wet, splashy, swashy, summers day so far!
That's better.
