Spring Cruse 2016 ❶

Hawne Basin to Oouzel Street Loop.

Date 1st April 2016

Overnight the weather was quite clear and very cold.

Morning: Preparations made and a late breakfast. 11 am set off along the Dudley number two canal.  First issue of the day was when we encountered a log in Gosty Hill Tunnel. The log pinned us to the tunnel wall. We had to reverse and eventually the log passed under the base plate.  Met up with old working boat Dove at the exit of the Gosty Hill tunnel.

Afternoon: After windmill end - we headed for the Neatherton tunnel. Then turning onto the BCN mainline, we met up with working boat Cotswold.  Purchased myself a new cycle in Birmingham.

EveningThe usual relaxation watching television after a cold days cruising.
