Spring Summer Cruse 2015 ❷❾

Haw Bridge to  Gloucester Docks (29)

Date 2 Jul 2015

Overnight the weather  was a bit cooler and much more comfortable.

Morning: Early start and underway by 7:30 in tandem with Nb Willy Nilly.  Breakfast was eaten on the move. It was a nine mile cruise to Gloucester Dock Lock. Nothing else moving on the river.

Afternoon: Arrived in
Gloucester first port of call was a visit to the Sainsbury Supermarket to top up the food store. Then onto the waterpoint as we had run the tank dry!

Evening
We have just rescued a juvenile 'Gull' possibly a 'Lesser Black Backed' its hard to tell with the juveniles. The Herring Gulls round here wanted to kill it for food. So its now sat under the pram cover eating best minced steak. The Memsahib says we are only giving it a lift out of town before releasing it. So tell me, which one of us is Gullible?

Wildlife:

Birds: Carrion Crow, Rook, Blackbird, Mallard, Mute Swan, Robin, Pied Wagtail, Cormorant, Canadian Goose, Grey Heron, Wood Pigeon,  Collared Dove, Herring Gull, Greater Black Backed Gull, Lesser Black Backed Gull, Black Headed Gull, Swallow, House Martin and Swift the highlight being a group of 4 Kingfisher.
