Overnight the weather was again very muggy.
Morning: An early breakfast and an early start to the day. Diesel up at Upton Marina £1.07 per litre is daylight robbery! So only part filled the tank to the half way point! A steady cruise along the River Severn and on to a partially tidal part - during spring tides. We were given a notice at Upper Lode Lock for how to approach the Gloucester Docks area which is the next point on our journey.
Afternoon: Made our way as far as Ashleworth Court mooring which was in such a poor state of repair and in a dangerous condition that we retraced our steps back to Haw Bridge.
Evening: Chilling out on the Haw bridge moorings and with a visit to the Haw Bridge Pub.
Wildlife:
Birds: House Sparrow, Magpie, Carrion Crow, Rook, Jackdaw,Blackbird, Mallard, Mute Swan, Robin, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Pied Wagtail, Coot, Moorhen, Cormorant, Canadian Goose, Grey Heron, Wood Pigeon, Collared Dove, Kestrel, Buzzard, Black Headed Gull, Sedge Warbler, Swallow, House Martin, Swift, and the highlight being a few Kingfishers.
Butterflies: Meadow Brown, Red Admiral
