Overnight the weather was overcast.
Morning: Early start off the Oxford Canal and onto the River Thames. It felt nice to be off the canal and to have some deeper water under the boat. Osney Lock was where we paid for a Thames licence. Dave the EA lock keeper was an absolute mine of information and could not have been more helpful.
Afternoon: Parted company with our friends the three P's on Nb Diligent Too at Abingdon Lock. Lunch eaten on the move and the cruise was a pleasant one. around 20 boats noted on the move.
Evening: An evening of relaxation a glass or two of beer and a bit of TV.
Wildlife:
Birds: House Sparrow, Wren, Magpie, Carrion Crow, Rook, Blackbird, Mallard, Mute Swan, Long Tailed Tit, Coot, Moorhen, Grey Lag Goose, Canadian Goose, Great Crested Grebe, Grey Heron, Wood Pigeon, Buzzard, Black Headed Gull, Swallow and House Martin the highlight being several Red Kites .
Butterflies: Common White, Small White Comma.
Bats: Pipistrelle, Daubentons,
