Gloucester Docks to Saul Junction

Date 3 Jul 2015

Overnight the weather was over cast with a bit of light rain

Morning: A late start saw us move up the canal to Sainsbury for some shopping. Then a steady cruise heading towards to Saul Junction.

Afternoon: A  few boats met along the way, however the canal seemed to be little used.

Evening:  Time for some Wimbledon watching.

Birds: Magpie, Carrion Crow, Rook, Blackbird, Mallard, Mute Swan, Chiffchaff, Robin, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Pied Wagtail, Long Tailed Tit,  Coot, Moorhen, Canadian Goose, Kingfisher, Grey Heron, Wood Pigeon, Buzzard, Herring Gull, Greater Black Backed Gull, Lesser Black Backed Gull, Black Headed Gull, Swallow, House Martin and Swift
 
Butterflies: Meadow Brown, Comma,
Bats: Pipistrelle,  Daubentons,
Dragonflies: Banded Damselfly, Common Damselfly, Red Darter, Four Spot Chaser.
