Spring Summer Cruise 2014 ❻❹

Fazeley Junction to Fradley VM.

Overnight the weather dry and warm.

Morning: We enjoyed an early Sunday morning start. Underway by 8am and our breakfast taken on the move. We wanted to arrive at our destination early in the day to ensure a mooring.

Afternoon: Steady cruise, quite a few boats going the other way. Shortly after our arrival it came as something of a surprise to find one boat moored in the centre of a wide space. Who then refused to move to allow an additional space for a boat to moor up.  Did not like sharing mooring rings and wanted maximum privacy!

Evening: We started with a meal out in  the local pub. Which ten turned into an open microphone evening of entertainment.

Wildlife:

Birds: House Sparrow, Tree Sparrow, Magpie, Carrion Crow, Rook, Jackdaw, Starling, Mallard, Mute Swan, Great Tit, Pied Wagtail, Coot, Waterhen, Grey Lag Goose, Canadian Goose, Grey Heron, Wood Pigeon, Buzzard, Black Headed Gull, Swallow, House Martin, and Green Woodpecker.

Butterflies:  Skipper and Red Admiral
Bats: Pipistrelle,
Dragonflies: Banded Damselfly, Common Damselfly and Four Spot Chaser.
