Spring Summer Cruise 2014 ❹❾

Black Buoy to Cape Top Lock

Overnight the weather was in the main frequent showers.

Morning: Its been a funny sort of a day. We had a slow start to the day waiting for the rain to blow over. Then when a big patch of blue arrived we went with it. The sun was shining and we were pretty chilled out. A few boats passed us going the other way.

Afternoon:
A short pause for a cup of coffee while we filled up with water at Tom of the Woods moorings. I always have a wry smile as the sign on the waterpoint says 'No Mooring'. Soon we were at the top of the Hatton flight of locks. We did the first four locks and paused for something to eat. Then  we decided to stop for the day. A short time later a boat came down with a hyperactive set of lock slaves so we joined them. We rapidly did the flight catching up with another big crew in front of us at every lock!

Evening: Had a short trip to the top of the Saltisford Arm before mooring for the night at the Cape Top Lock. More TV.
