Spring Summer Cruise 2014 ❸

Long Sandal to Doncaster town moorings and back to Long Sandal

Overnight the sky was clear and so the weather was very cold, which when combined with a stiff breeze gave quite a cold feel to the day. Weak sunshine first thing with clouds gathering on the horizon.

Morning: A steady cruise late morning back to Doncaster for some essential shopping. Plus to fill up the fresh water tank.

Afternoon: A steady return trip back t
o Long Sandal. On mooring up I washed the pram cover and one side of the boat. Getting it ready for  polishing, then it rained!

Evening: A few heavy showers of rain with dark lowering clouds.

Wildlife: Three new ticks for the year with our first Jay. Plus the strong winds towards the end of last month. Brought not only sand from the sahara but as also has brought an early flush of Swallows and House Martins. Male Orange Tipped Butterfly and a crop of Meadow Brown butterfly's as well.
