Doncaster.
Bright sunshine and a clear blue sky heralded the promised good weather for the weekend. As always the Memsahib went off to shop, birthday coming up so she took my credit card with her. On her return she had been unable to "find anything." So I was still in the blue with the bank.
The extended family has grown a bit. Yesterday afternoon, a new family member arrived. In the guise of Rowan Joseph (AKA Strawberry) weighing in at 5lbs 2oz. Joining mum and dad Sarah and Steve and little sister Freya who chose the name "Strawberry!"
The youth of Doncaster were finding it a bit slow today. So having nothing to do and no money for cheap alcopops. The small group decided to redecorate a bridge hole. Looks like the local arts college might be able to offer them some tuition.
Not much in the way of boats moving today. Just one in each direction. Each narrowboat stopping to do a quick run to tesco before continuing on their way.
