Date 19 July 2015
Overnight the weather was overcast with light showers of rain.
Morning: Late start as we only have a very short distance to go. Soon moored up at Stratford Basin on the finger finger moorings. We still have a couple of days left on our 7 day licence. So we may return back to the Avon and to up to the top of the navigable section before returning back to the canal.
Afternoon: We seemed to supply the entertainment for a lot of French, German, Japanese and Australian visitors. It's amazing how people try and look into the boats to get an idea of what it looks like.
Evening: Witherspoons again for a delicious steak.
Wildlife:
Birds: Magpie, Carrion Crow, Rook, Blackbird, Mallard, Mute Swan, Coot, Moorhen, Canadian Goose, Wood Pigeon, Buzzard, Black Headed Gull, Sedge Warbler, Swallow, House Martin, Swift and Green Woodpecker.
Butterflies: Meadow Brown, Common White, Small White.
Dragonflies: Banded Damselfly and Common Damselfly.
