Spring Summer Cruise 2014 ❶❷

Washingborough to Fiskerton Fen Visitor Moorings.

Overnight the weather was colder than of late. The wind had a bite to it. There were frequent light showers and the wind at times became quite gusty.

Morning: Woke early by a passing group of oarsman and women. Noisily chattering away and bumping the boat with an oar. Then they turned round their boats and paused by the mooring for five minutes still noisily chattering away!

Only a short journey - as we came towards the moorings. The dogs wanted to go walkie. So we stopped for a short break - then stayed the rest of the day.

Afternoon: Did a bit of walking around the nature reserve with the dogs between the frequent showers.

Evening: We were joined by a boat that was unable to get a mooring at Bardney.

Wildlife: Chaffinch, Chifchaff, Robin, Oyster catcher, Sedge Warbler, Reed warbler.
