Spring Summer Cruise 2014 ⓰

Kirkstead Bridge to Langrick Bridge

Overnight the weather was mainly steady rain. By the morning there was a heavy mist over the water but the rain had abated.

Morning: The weed cutter arrived and the contractors moored up for a break. We were under way by 9:30. We enjoyed a slow and steady cruise in the warm and welcome sunshine. The wind was cool but only when we were in the shade.

Afternoon: The weed cutter arrived at our mooring at Tattershall Bridge and the contractors had a large load of cut weed in the pan. There were
one or two big islands of floating weed which the weed cutter also targeted. After lunch we resumed our cruise. Once again in warm sunshine.

Evening: 5pm we arrived at Langrick Bridge to find the visitor moorings empty. An hour later a very nice dutch barge 'Pisces' arrived.  Only two other boats seen on the move all day.
