March CaRToon Caption Competition

It's March the season of wind and mad hares. March is also a time of year to start final preparations for the next cruising season. The canal side hedgerows look much more inviting. As the days start to lengthen even more we have become more aware that this is the start of spring. But summer is only just around the corner.
This months caption competition is intended for you to be able to display your prowess at providing a pithy or witty caption. One that has a watery theme to it.
The guest judges selected for this months CaRToon Caption Competition are Dee Compose and Joe King. The pair were recently awarded the Nobel Pea's prize for their services to Hot Dog Vending and body part modelling industry.
Preparing to share a lock

There is no pecuniary prize on offer as the Blogmeister is:
i) A cheapskate.
ii) A tight fisted old curmudgeon.
iii) Not on the CART management payroll.
iv) Not amongst the ex BW working retired.

However, you will reluctantly get a mention in the captains blog. You can submit your entry on the back of a ten pound note, two five pound notes or by using the comments feature below.

  1. Meanwhile on the towpath: Betty and Bob look at each other in dismay. Betty wins the "bet" about narrowboats being too cold to live on in winter, and Bob pays up "10 bob" as previously agreed.
