Summer Cruise 2013 (14)

Sunny Skipton

Even more rain fell overnight and the sky was still overcast by dawn. The local night club seems to get the teenagers well inebriated. I was convinced that there was a screaming contest going on overnight.

Morning: Took the dogs for a walk along the towpath and over the swing bridge into the park. The steel band continued to entertain on the towpath. However, the real entertainment was a day hire boater who hit the a bank side wall, then T boned into a plastic boat and then into a bridge all within a few yards. I walked up and gave some advice on how the tiller worked and how to use the propeller in reverse to slow and stop.

Afternoon: The centre of town and the market place was full of people but few seemed to be at the canalside celebration.

Evening: The weather quickly went down hill and a quiet bight watching TV was on the cards.

Wildlife: A few pigeons and a lost dog!
