The Big One (21-5)

Monday 3rd September 2012

Sunny Castleford.

Another sunny day to be enjoyed - so I cleaned and polished the mushrooms vents again. The stern greaser was empty and so I had the messy job of filling up the container.

I also planned to do a bit of boat touch-up painting, but a short sharp shower put paid to that. So I was at a loss for something to do. So I went fishing off the mooring. However as I hold the opinion that fishing is a blood sport, I was using my magnet on a rope.

Catch of the day: Three metric sockets. One exhaust silencer. Two screwdrivers. About twenty coach bolts. A fireside set, well two parts of it. Two coal "hand" shovels. One with the label still attached. A rotary washing line holder. Hundreds of screws and nails. A length of stove pipe. A multi-spanner. A grill pan and various bits of unidentified metal.

The sunset tonight was very fiery and as the saying goes red sky at night....

Here is the sunset over Castleford Cut.
