Spring Summer Cruise 2014 ❷❽

Stoke Bardolph Lock VM to Nottingham Steps.

Overnight the weather was cold and overcast.

Morning: Bright sunshine in a clear sky, and the wind has reduced to a gentle breeze. Holme Pierrepont was our next lock, which proved to be an issue as we had to wait about half an hour for the lock to pen down a small cruiser. We stopped to fill up with water and to have a look round the watersports centre.

Afternoon: We continued our steady cruise towards Nottingham. We stopped for the day at the county hall moorings just above the lock.

Evening: Spent some time repairing the boat klaxon which has started to stick on the electric motor. Watched a bit of the world cup football on TV.
