The Big One (21-7)

Wednesday 5th September 2012

Castleford to Knottingley

Time to move on again. So we planned for an early start to the day. By the crack of 10:30 we were out onto the river. We followed another Narrowboat down to Ferrybridge. We were in luck as the locks into and out of the River Aire were both manned. Well, to be exact one was staffed by a woman.

We stopped at Knottingley for lunch and for the dogs to have a quick trim. I was ok as I was done over last week on a number two and a number four. The same combs that we use for the dogs!!!!

I rescued three pot plants from the canal and planted them on the Knottingly moorings. I am not sure where they are coming from but it can't be far as we did not pass them on the way down.

The weather is so good we stopped for the day!
