Spring Summer Cruise 2014 ❸❽

Shobnall to Alrewas.

Overnight the weather was light rain showers.

Morning: In the morning the weather was bright and sunny. But I had a trip planned into Birmingham. So we remained on the moorings.

Afternoon: By 4pm I was back on the boat and we made some progress. The weather took a turn for the worse and we did a couple of locks in a heavy downpour.

Evening: Spent in the Crown which we can't recommend highly enough.

Wildlife:

Birds: House Sparrow, Carrion Crow, Rook, Magpie, Starling, Blackbird, Mallard, Mute Swan, Grey Lag Goose, Canadian Goose, Coot, Waterhen, Grey Heron, Wood Pigeon, Kestrel, Chiffchaff, Chaffinch, Robin, Common Tern, Arctic Tern, Sedge Warbler, Swallow, House Martin and Swift.

Butterflies: Meadow Brown, Comma, Red Admiral and Orange Tip 
Bats: Pipistrelle,
Dragonflies: Banded Demoiselle, Common Demoiselle, Red Darter, Four Spot Chaser.
