Summer Cruise 2013 (30)

Whitley Lock to Goole Dutch Riverside

Light rain with an overcast but warm night. The sky looked quite ominus and so we left up the pram cover. This proved to be a good move.

Morning: Steady cruise up to Pollington Lock, gave a wave and a quick exchange of greetings with friends moored at Pollington. ran the new washing machine whilst cruising. All worked just fine.

Afternoon: Uneventful cruise with a few short sharp showers of rain.  A short stop over to pick apples and blackberries. Put up the rotary washing line to dry the washing.

Evening: A stunning sunset with a promise of better weather tomorrow.

Wildlife: Best wildlife spot of the day was a Hen Harrier.
